in an auto accident on Sunday, while on their way to the team’s
camp in Calabar.

a road mishap in Taraba while on their way to report to the Calabar
base of the national U17 team as they prepare for the CAF U17
Championship in Morocco.
While Abubakar reportedly suffered head and shoulder injuries,
Njengo was badly affected when the car they were travelling
in from Jalingo,Taraba State was involved in a ghastly accident at
Dan Anacha Village in Taraba State.

suddenly dashed into the road. The driver swerved to avoid hitting
the rider but ended up hitting a truck pusher.
The players were promptly taken to the Federal Medical Centre in
Jalingo by their relations. They are said to be responding to
treatment.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been duly informed while
Golden Eaglets' Head Coach Garba Manu (MFR) has been in constant
communication with the hospital and monitoring the condition of the
players.
"I called them at Federal Medical Centre and the doctor said Friday
(Njengo) will undergo X-ray to determine the extent of injuries but
he is still unconscious," a visibly shaken coach Garba
said, adding that it was unfortunate the accident happened at a
time the youngsters were coming to serve their fatherland.
