Super Eagles return to Nigeria – Joseph Yobo presents the AFCON trophy to Globacom boss Mike Adenuga
The Super Eagles of Nigeria, champions of Africa, returned home yesterday, after a successful outing at the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa where they emerged winners.
The players where met at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 3:15pm by a host of fans, spectators and primary and secondary school students who joyfully welcomed them.
The Super Eagles and coach Stephen Keshi also met up with telecoms boss Mike Adenuga who had earlier blessed them with the sum of $1m.
They were also special guests at a dinner reception by the president Goodluck Jonathan.
